I am a photographer and digital artist

from Visalia, a town just about in the

center of California, U.S.A.

The night skies of California's

Mojave Desert are my favorite

subject. For over a decade

I searched the canyons night

after night, looking for a perfect

allignment of Earth and sky.

in the first two galleries.

These Mojave Desert night

photographs were each

taken with my 1971 Minolta

model SRT101. The images

prior to year 2000 are on store

bought Fuji film, the images

from year 2000 on were taken

on Fuji Provia 400 color slide

film. These days the digital

cameras can handle the night

skies, but not in 1997 when

this project was born. These

days it is common, & accepted,

to see night photographs that

are multiple images layered on

top of one another, or maybe

panoramics stitched together.

Since that is true, I would like

to note that all of my Mojave

Desert images are from the

slides or film, which was then

scanned to a computer, but

have not been digitally

altered in any way. The

original slides or film will

match what you see

on my galleries.

I do digitally paint my photographs

in between photographic journeys.

I have added some new galleries

this year. '2010' is for my new work,

each in chronological order. It has

been a wonderful year for nature

images. I have also added a

gallery of my Mom's garden,

'Grandma's Garden', a gallery

of our local Irish folk band

heroes, The High Grade Pats,

from St. Patricks Day, and

a few shots from my show

in Fresno for the Philharmonic

Orchestra.
